MLED 1141 - SCIENCE METHODS FOR THE MIDDLE-LEVEL GRADES Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will examine the major concepts, theories and trends in science education. The content is designed to provide a teaching pedagogy for middle level education majors. Materials, methods and strategies for teaching life, physical and earth sciences to grade levels 4-8 will be presented. The course will seek to help pre-service teachers develop an understanding of ways to help children acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills essential to science literacy.
