Each student who elects Theatre Arts as a major must complete the following requirements:

I. Required Theatre Courses (12 credits)
II. History/Literature Electives Courses (6 credits):
Select two courses from the following:
III. Specialization (15 credits)
Students must satisfy requirements in one of the specializations: Design/Technical or Acting/Directing.
A. Design/Technical Theatre required courses:
1. Required Courses (9 credits)
2. Electives Courses (6 credits)
(Choose two electives from the following):
B. Acting/Directing Theatre required courses:
1. Required Courses (12 credits)
2. Elective Courses (3 credits)
(choose one elective from the following):
IV. Practicum (3-6 credits)
Students must complete a minimum of 3 credits/maximum of 6 credits from the following one-credit courses:
V. Foreign Language or Literature in Translation Courses (6-9 credits)
Students must complete two courses of a language sequence or 9 credits of Literature in Translation courses.
VI. Required Humanities Courses (9 credits)
Students must complete one Music or Fine Arts Course, one Communication or Theatre course, and one Philosophy course.
