English Literature Minor
|
|
Return to: Humanities The English Literature minor at Pitt-Johnstown consists of 18 credits of study and allows students to explore a broad range of canonical English and American literatures. In this minor, students develop a sophisticated understanding of a broad range of literatures; this allows students to expand their capacity to sympathize with other human beings, enhances their ability to see and imagine our human complexity, and broadens their intellectual horizons by enlarging our power to experience life. Additionally, they are able to pursue their own interests in specific periods of literature or in particular areas of literary scholarship. The minor complements major programs in all divisions, including business, for students considering graduate study or beginning a professional career in the field of their choice.
