IS 1426 - HARDWARE AND OPERATING SYSTEMS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Information technology professionals will encounter a variety of platforms in their career. The role of the IT professional is to select, deploy, integrate, and administer platforms or components to support the organizations infrastructure. This course covers the fundamentals of hardware and operating systems and how they integrate to form essential components of its systems. In addition, this course positions students to pass the CompTia A+ Certification exam. Students will gain hands-on experience with the many components inside of a computer, along with gaining operating system knowledge to accomplish the many routine tasks of a PC technician or IT specialist.
