MLED 1101 - READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The course will examine specific methods in how to conduct reading and writing lessons designed to help self-extending learners to become proficient, fluent readers in grades 4-8. Students will be introduced to learning theories, research, philosophies, and instructional practices related to a developmental approach to literacy instruction. Differentiated strategies, management of lessons and routines, and methods for assessing reading/language arts will be examined.
