It emphasizes analytical investment decision methodologies as they relate to engineering management decisions. It focuses on basic capital project evaluation techniques to include: interest calculations, present and annual worth comparisons, rate of returns, depreciation, income taxes, benefit/cost ratio analysis, replacement analysis, bonds, breakeven analysis and cash flows before and after taxes.
