CHE 0221 - CHEMICAL ENGINEERING THERMODYNAMICS 2 Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is the second of two courses that combine the ideas from both pure and multicomponent thermodynamics. They introduce molecular insight and the tools (including commercial software) for solving both simple and complex problems in phase and chemical equilibria. The courses will have a strong focus on multiscale analysis, for example, covering intermolecular potentials (molecular-scale) to aid students in choosing equations of state for novel materials (macro-scale). Advanced topics covered include interfacial behavior, adsorption, and osmotic equilibrium. Academic Career: UGRD Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: LG Course Requirements: PREQ: CHE 0220 ; CREQ: CHE 0222 Click here for class schedule information.
