EDPSY 1025 - INCLUSION STRATEGIES Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Designed primarily for pre-service teachers, this course familiarizes students with inclusive practices in the schools. The course gives an overview of issues seen in a general education classroom. Topics include understanding the brain science behind learning and inclusive practices, collaborating with various educational stakeholders, outside factors that impact the classroom and student performance, incorporating social and emotional learning practices into classroom, classroom management, basic strategies and considerations for making age-appropriate accommodations and adaptations for students with special needs and or diverse backgrounds in the general education classroom.
