IS 1441 - BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course provides an introduction to Business Intelligence, including the processes, methodologies, infrastructure, and current practices used to transform business data into useful information and support business decision-making. The development and use of data warehouses and data marts to support business analytics is discussed. Data mining, visualization, and statistical analysis along with reporting options such as key performance indicators, management dashboards and balanced scorecards will be covered. Text and web mining are discussed, and the application of selected data mining techniques to business decision making situations is illustrated. Technologies utilized in the course may include SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, RapidMiner, Tableau, SAS, and R.
