EET 1175 - ADVANCED DIGITAL SYSTEMSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines different ways a digital system can be implemented such as (a) software and hardware system, (b) CPID based; (c) FPGA based; and (d) ASIC. The course would expose the students to a variety of other concepts used in electronics industry beyond the design of digital circuits. It briefly introduces architecture of memories, concepts of self-testing and testable designs. At the end of the class, students will be able to describe a hardware design solution in HDL and implement it in CPLD or FPGA completely.
