CET 1151 - MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTIONMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Acquaints the student with the practical difficulties in the selection, testing, and use of construction materials in relation to function, environment, and cost. Major emphasis on aggregate, Portland Cement, concrete additives, and bituminous materials in civil engineering works. Problems associated with concrete and bituminous mixtures and methods of mix design are included. Current materials-testing techniques are utilized in the laboratory.
