BIOL 0960 - ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGYMinimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 A one-term lecture-demonstration course designed specifically for respiratory care students. Discussions and lectures are complementary to the structure and function of major body systems. Greater emphasis is placed on control-systems (nervous and endocrine), respiratory and cardio-vascular systems, with little emphasis on the Musculo-Skeletal System. Homeostasis, Homeostatic Regulating Mechanisms, interaction between humans and the environment, responses to stress and some pathological disorders are discussed.
