The goal of Physical Oceanography is to introduce the student to the physical aspects of the Earth¿s oceans. Topics will include the geology of the seafloor, waves, tides, and ocean currents. We will explore various coastal systems and formations, the chemical and physical nature of seawater, and environmental concerns that are affecting the oceans focusing on pollution and climate change.
