EE 1770 - POWER SYSTEMS IIMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course explores power system design and analysis. Topics include power flow, optimal power flow, economic dispatch, unit commitment, unbalanced faults (using symmetrical components), advanced power system protection, short circuit and coordination studies, system control, area control error, introduction to systems stability, and power distribution engineering. Extensive use of application software supplements the design and analyses of electrical power systems. This course includes a theory class and a lab class.
