EE 1773 - DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Analysis of modern digital communications systems, including the theory underlying their design and practical implementation issues. Baseband digital signaling: pam, PCM, quantization, ISI, multiplexing. Modulation formats: ask, FSK, BPSK, DPSK, GAM. Probability, information channel capacity random signals, optimal receivers and performance analysis. Case studies include modems, satellite systems, and cellular telephone.
