PS 1215 - AMERICAN PRESIDENCYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The course examines the controversies surrounding the design of the presidency and situates them within the context of debates over the nature of politics, political power, and the state in the founding period. Attention is also given to the political evolution of American government and the presidency, the development of the welfare state, and dilemmas of the modern presidency.
