HIST 0750 - HISTORICAL METHODS & THEORIESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course introduces students to various modes of historical thought and practice, ranging from major historiographical debates to hands-on practical instruction in methods of historical deduction, arguing, reading, and writing. Students will craft historical writing projects such as research papers, book reviews, and bibliographies, and will explore a wide variety of historical writings. This course will be an option for the methodology requirement for the history major. The course is intended to prepare students for upper level history courses, especially HIST 1002 writing seminar for majors.
