CHEM 0085 - DRUGS AND THE HUMAN BODYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Course is designed primarily for students with no prior chemistry background, but who still want to learn about the interactions of drugs with the human body. The course deals with the sources and regulation of drugs, what happens to drugs after they enter the body, and the characteristic effects of high use/high abuse drugs. By the end of the course, students should have a better appreciation of the concept of risk/benefit ratio, which applies to all medications.
