GEOL 1109 - REPORT WRITING AND COMPUTER APPLICATIONS IN GEOLMinimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 Report Writing and Computer Applications in Geology. Conventions of scientific writing are introduced and applied to the preparation of geologic reports. Covers use of various types of software and web-based resources used in geologic research and report writing. Poster and oral presentation are required term projects. The lab component is an opportunity to highlight advanced uses of commonly used compute programs. Students benefit from lessons showing advanced uses of these programs to process geologic data.
